Service Description: Halton Region's Emergency Management program enhances the safety of Halton residents and reduces property damage and economic loss in the event of an emergency

Creates, maintains and coordinates an effective community emergency capability and capacity that provides for the safety and well-being of Halton residents
  • emergencies could include tornadoes, floods, train derailments, hazardous materials spill, or freezing rain/ice storms 

Regional Emergency Operations Centre
  • A designated facility where the Region’s Emergency Control Group assemble to manage the response to an emergency or disaster

  • in the event that high-level information needs to be available an alert banner will appear atop of halton.ca  

Halton Region’s Enhanced Community Notification Service (eCNS)
  • an emergency notification system for household and business landline phones
  • this system will be used in the event of a major incident or emergency in the Region
