Service Description:

The primary role of the High School Liaison Officer is to maintain the safety of both students and staff in a high school setting

designated HRPS officers respond to calls specifically related to high schools throughout the Region of Halton
High School Officers are a resource for students, teachers, parents and other community agencies
youth are able to build positive connections with the familiar officers who attend their schools
Officers can provide education related to topics which impact youth including drugs, alcohol, driving, making positive life choices as well as overall crime
investigations can arise from complaints from students, staff, parents and the community at large
