Guelph Public Library cardholders may borrow movies, TV shows, music and audio books on their smart phones, tablets and PCs. The service allows patrons to borrow, stream and download free dynamic content with a valid library card. Service Description: Assists patrons to access library resources, including print and non-print collections of materials to meet informational needs and interests of the community * acquires and preserves public and private records in a variety of formats that document the history of the City of Guelph

Extension Services provides access to library materials for special needs patrons:
  • Visiting Library Services: complimentary home delivery service of library materials to members unable to visit library because of physical or visual disability, long-term illness or advanced age
  • Talking Books: audiobooks in various formats available for members unable to use regular print due to blindness or a visual, physical or reading disability

Fees: Membership - fee for ineligible non-residents only: family membership - $50 / six months, $100 / 12 months * None - Guelph residents and eligible non-residents
Application: Call, visit website or drop in for information. Identification and proof of address required for all memberships.
Eligibility / Target Population: Library membership is free to anyone who lives in or owns property in Guelph. Residents of Cambridge and Wellington County may obtain a free Reciprocal Borrowing membership. Library cards are available for a fee to other non-residents.
