Service Description: Self help peer support group for individuals challenged with mood disorders and the families and friends that support them.

Location for peer support meetings is 10C Building, next to Eric the Baker, downtown Guelph

All-inclusive, self-help, peer support group for people challenged by a mental illness and the families and friends that support them. Purposes include:
  • to work with community partners
  • meet and share experiences in support of one another
  • inform and educate participants, mental health professionals and the public
  • eliminate discrimination and social stigma surrounding mental illness and mood disorders

Fees: None - for membership or attendance at meetings
Application: Self-referral; referral through a doctor; referral from a friend; Canadian Mental Health Association
Eligibility / Target Population: Those challenged with mood disorders; family members and support caregivers are welcome
