Service Description: Social assistance program that helps people with disabilities who are in financial need to pay for living expenses, including food and housing.

ODSP has two parts:
  • Income Support: financial assistance for people with disabilities
  • Employment Supports: helps people with disabilities who want to work prepare for and find a job

Fees: None
Application: In person, by phone or online at Applying for ODSP Income Support * call or visit office to speak with a caseworker regarding eligibility and application process
Eligibility / Target Population: Income Support: Ontario resident 18 years and older, in financial need, and is found to be a person with a disability, as defined under the Ontario Disability Support Program Act

Employment Support: Ontario resident 16 years and older, legally allowed to work in Canada, with a substantial physical or mental disability that is expected to last a year or more, and which makes it difficult to find or retain employment
NOTE: client does not have to be on Income Support to be eligible
