Service Description: Children's Services Division provides support to families and child care programs for children in the Region of Halton.

Child Care Services include:
  • Child care fee subsidy program
  • choice in child care program options including nursery schools, licensed child care centres, licensed home child care and unlicensed recreation programs which have a Child Care Service Management Agreement with the Region of Halton
  • service coordination with a Child Care Representative and other services involved with the family to develop goals
  • information on choosing child care in Halton

Three Regional Child Care Centres in Halton:
Margaret Drive Child Care Centre in Oakville
Sedgewick Crescent Child Care Centre in Oakville
Maple Avenue Child Care Centre in Georgetown

Fees: subsidy is available within licensed child care centres, licensed home child care agencies and nursery schools

Eligibility / Target Population: Child care available for children from birth to 12 years * financial situation is reviewed for child care assistance
