Exercise and Falls Prevention Programs - Kitchener–Waterloo–Wellesley–Wilmot–Woolwich


Exercise classes with a focus on falls prevention help older adults stay healthy, active, and mobile. Classes are publicly-funded and held at various community locations. There is no fee for eligible participants.

SMART Gentle Exercise Classes (Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together)
and
Wellness Active Living Club (WALC) Fitness Classes
  • Classes are 45 minutes long
  • Drop in to classes when you are available
  • All classes are voluntary, self-directed and free of charge
  • These classes have varied schedules check the Events Section for a list

Falls Prevention
  • Falls Prevention education is an integrated program with exercise sites
  • No drop in - clients should attend from the first class to the last class
  • Clients need not attend both exercise and falls prevention though they are encouraged to do so
  • All classes are free of charge
