Social Workers and Social Service Workers - Kitchener–Waterloo–Wellesley–Wilmot–Woolwich

Both social workers and social service workers help people in times of crisis and challenge. Social workers and their clients work through a process of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation. Social service workers assist people in dealing with personal and social problems by delivering counselling, community services, and social support programs.

In Ontario, social workers and social service workers are governed under the Social Work and Social Service Work Act, 1998.
