Service Description: Healthy Babies Healthy Children is a free, voluntary program for pregnant women and families with young children up to the child’s transition to school   

Eligible people may receive home visits from a public health  nurse and family visitor

Home visits will help you learn about:
  • having a healthy pregnancy and birth
  • connecting with your baby
  • how children grow and develop
  • being a parent
  • breastfeeding, food and healthy eating
  • taking care of yourself and your family
  • other services available to you and your child in the community

Dental Health

Dental care: dental services for eligible children, youth, adults, and older adults * limited emergency dental care for adults who meet eligibility requirements

Canadian Dental Care Plan: covers a portion of the cost of diagnostic and preventive services, basic services, major services, and anesthesia or sedation services for people who meet eligibility requirements 

Healthy Smiles Ontario: free regular dental care for children and youth under 17 years who meet low income eligibility requirements

Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program: free dental care for older adults 65 years of age and older who meet low income eligibility requirements and have no access to any other form of dental benefits

Discretionary Program: limited financial assistance for denture and root canal services to individuals receiving Ontario Disability Support Program benefits
