Service Description: Programs and initiatives that promote confidence, leadership and connections

Programs Include:

Safe Sisters: weekly drop-in program for girls in grade 7 and 8  in the Shelldale neighbourhood * issues discussed include: body image, self-esteem, substance use, self-harm, mental health and wellness, importance of physical health, personal boundaries, nutrition and life skills

Safe Health Aquatic Recreation for Kids (SHARKs): program is provided to all students in grade 3 to 5 * program includes: water safety

Teenage Parents Program (TAPPs): educational program for pregnant or parenting teens between the ages of 14 to 21 * program includes: child development, nutrition, birth control and healthy relationships

Youth Gambling Awareness (YGAP): program available for youth ages 8 to 24 * program available people who work with youth



Youth and Preschool in the Community (Outreach): youth and preschool programs offered at various drop-in locations
