Service Description:

Crisis intervention program * provides immediate assistance to people experiencing emotional
distress * aims to defuse the crisis, ensure the person's safety, and
assist the person with taking steps to resolve the problem * supports
include supportive counselling, safety planning, and referrals to
community resources or services for ongoing assistance * crisis support
may also be provided by telephone, instant messaging, texting, email,
webchat, or online message boards, forums, or chat rooms
