Service Description: Children's Services Division
  • provides support to families and child care programs for children in Halton Region

Fee Subsidy Program
  • provides financial assistance to eligible Halton parents who need help with the cost of child care within child care centres participating in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care program



Fees: None * Subsidy is available within licensed child care centres, licensed home child care agencies and nursery schools that are participating in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care program

Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Child care available within programs participating in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care program for children from birth to 12 years
  • financial situation is reviewed for child care assistance
  • parents must be working, retraining or returning to school to be eligible
  • To determine possible eligibility for child care subsidies, use the Child Care Subsidy Calculator available online
