Service Description: Education, programs and support to people living with arthritis

Arthritis Rehabilitation and Education Program: 1-800-321-1433 ext 1101
Community-based rehabilitation program * physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers available * individual consultation and group education sessions* topics may include:
  • dealing with pain
  • arthritis medications exercises to reduce stiffness, increase strength and improve fitness
  • new ways to be active and minimize stress on joints
  • coping with the emotional impact of arthritis
  • self-management strategies

Online self-management courses - E-learning programs, including "Mental Health and Well Being", "Joint Matters at Work", "Managing Chronic Pain", "You and Your HealthCare Provider" and "Overcoming Fatigue"

Support for Childhood Arthritis: Resources to help families live better with childhood arthritis. This includes: Childhood Arthritis Backpack Program, Arthritis Camps, Family Day (Project THRIVE), MediKidz Online, Other Resources.”
